Detective Ed Delongpre (Dennis Hopper) is challenged by the mayor
of Burman City to make an arrest of a child killer within 48 hours.
With no clues to work with, Delongpre and his longtime partner McGivern
(Frederic Forrest) and their team of investigators stake out just
about every place in town where kids are at play. Meanwhile, and
unbeknownst to the cops, the mayor has also made a deal with a notorious
mobster to also find the killer, pitting the good guys against the
bad guys to stop a sicko. Also meanwhile, Delongpre's relationship
with his estranged adult daughter Leslie (Leslie Hope) is torn open
after a decade -- Leslie is the mayor's pushy assistant. ~ Buzz

We asked Shark for some comments on scoring
the film...
"The
scoring of this film had gone extremely well at the beginning and
then I had the unfortunate luck of a computer crash and losing three
days of intense work! Then another four days were spent trying to
recover what was lost. The modern world, huh?!? It was the equivalent
of having a fire burn the studio down to the ground. For anyone
familiar with the schedules of films, losing a full week is like
losing a month! I was up for days and days staying at the studio
and sleeping on the floor to try and catch up.
There
are a couple of chase scene cues that are not mine, I had sent some
rough ideas for the chase scenes and did not have the time finish
them so the producers had someone else "make the cops run faster".
I
think Dennis Hoppers acting is actually very good, especially his
scenes with his daughter, played by Leslie Hope. Dennis plays a
good cop for a change. I'm very proud of a lot of the themes in
the film and the stuff I'm not so proud of isn't mine.
Enjoy."
