1) Angela - Beautiful Things

Cinema goers in North America may have recently seen the new American Express commercial featuring Angela singing the song Beautiful Things. It was directed by video/film director Mark Romanek.

Angela had recorded only the short version you hear in the commercial. But because of interest and emails from fans, they are recording a proper full-length version of the track. We will let you know when the song will be made available.

The song Beautiful Things was originally sung by Anthony Newly in the 1967 movie musical Dr. Doolittle with Rex Harrison.

Mark Romanek is the director of the films One Hour Photo and Static, plus the award winning video for Johnny Cash's Hurt.

Mark's impressive list of artist videos are...
Beck, No Doubt, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, David Bowie (Jump, They Say), Michael & Janet Jackson (Scream), Lenny Kravitz (Are You Gonna Go My Way), Madonna (Bedtime Story), nine inch nails (Closer).

Another Colonials' connection, Shark actually DJ'ed the wrap party for Mark's Mick Jagger video - God Gave Me Everything I Want.

The AMEX cinema spot Beautiful Things was produced by JSM Music. You can see the commercial on JSM Music's website: www.jsmmusic.com search under the heading Work, then click on American Express.
